Cauliflower And Pork Porridge
Delicious home made, keto friendly, cauliflower and pork porridge - by Janti Brasali, Seriously Keto
Ingredients
- 800g Chopped Cauliflower
- 150g Ground Pork
- 2 tbsp Bouillon
- 500mL Water
- ½ tsp Xanthan Gum
Instructions
This recipe uses a Thermomix.
- Wash and chop the cauliflower into medium sized pieces.
- Dilute the bouillon with some warm water.
- Place the chopped cauliflower in the Thermomix and chop at speed 4.5 with no heat until the pieces are rice-sized, or to the size of your preference. You can decide whether you want your porridge to be more chunky or smooth.
- Pour the bouillon and remaining water into the Thermomix. Mix for 10 minutes at 100ºC, start at speed 4 for 10 seconds to really mix very well, then slow it down to speed 2 for the remainder of the time.
- Add the pork and mix for 5 minutes at 100ºC at speed 3.
- 30 seconds in, add the xanthan gum through the hole.
- Dress up the porridge with any keto-friendly condiments you prefer– eggs, pickles, shallots, sesame seeds, mustard, dried shrimp, seaweed, bonito flakes, sambal, abalone, up to you!
Tip!
If you don’t have a Thermomix, this recipe can also be done in a pot over the stove. The steps are as follows:
- Wash and chop the cauliflower into medium sized pieces.
- Dilute the bouillon with some warm water.
- Using a blender or food processor, chop the cauliflower into rice-sized pieces.
- Pour the cauliflower into a pot, then add bouillon and the remaining water. Bring the mixture to a boil, then simmer while stirring slowly for about 10 minutes.
- Add the pork and continue stirring for 5 more minutes.
- 30 seconds in, add the xanthan gum and continue stirring.
- Dress up the porridge with any keto-friendly condiments you prefer.
